Mike Cline

Lead Pastor

Originally from Ohio, Mike came to Mountain View in 2010 as the youth and worship pastor. Mike and his wife Cassie first met at Indiana Wesleyan University where they both were studying for the ministry. Mike also has a Master's of Divinity from Bethel Seminary in Minnesota. They have three kids, Aiden, Addison, and Audrey, and regularly call them by the wrong name. His greatest passion is to teach Scripture in a way that is engaging and transformative for people from all walks of life.

Kurt & Brenda Nybakken

Children's Co-Pastors

Kurt grew up in Portland, Oregon and Brenda grew up in Syracuse, New York. They met in the middle at Oklahoma Wesleyan, where Kurt received a degree in Pastoral Ministries and Brenda in Elementary Education. Kurt is a huge basketball fan and Brenda enjoys sewing and crafts. They have three great children they love spending time with. They bring with them over 25 years of ministry experience. They are passionate about helping children establish their faith in God, make wise choices, and love others.

Shelly Harris

Worship Arts Director

An Oregonian through and through, Shelly grew up in Albany and went to college at Northwest Christian University in Eugene where she graduated with a degree in Music Ministry. She met her husband, Rob, after college while working at Uptown Music in Keizer. They live in Gates, Oregon with their daughters, Naomi and Anna, and an assortment of pets and farm animals. Shelly’s passion is to see the Lord exalted in our homes, church, and community, and to teach and equip others to fully understand our role as worshipers of God.

Betsy Philpott

Pastor of Students & Community Life

Betsy wrote a way funnier bio for herself, but her lame boss (see Mike above) picked this one instead: Betsy lived in Michigan her whole life until moving to Oregon in 2019, along with her husband Michael and three of their four kids. She met her husband not long after high school and they have now spent more than half of their lives together. Betsy loves running (most days) and being active outside as well as putting puzzles together, reading, and playing games with her family. She is passionate about people developing a personal relationship with Jesus and loves to watch that love grow.

Teresa Bisbee

Office Administrator

Teresa and her husband Dave have been married for 33 years and have been members of Mountain View Church since 1997.  Teresa is a native Californian and grew up in the San Jose area. She has been working in the church office since 2006 and has seen many exciting changes and growth throughout those years.   Teresa has a huge heart for serving others and supporting the various ministries and the staff of Mountain View.  She loves spending time with family, animals (especially dogs), working in her yard, and making beaded jewelry.
